When out and about with friends. I went out with a friend I write with occasionally. She tends to get wrapped into her own world and busy. That is what happens to most people I know. I have two many friends with busy hectic friends and I like them to spend time with us. Is that too much to ask?
I know it might sound a little, oh no it does self-absorbed. Do I think like that these days. We aren’t truly that bad. We need to rethink how we want our friends to spend time with us. We live our lives with our partner. They meant to be our life-partner. They are now more of a room-mate now. They are either working or sitting at a computer when they are home. No time for us.
This post was not meant to be a rant. We were out with our writing buddy Theresa. She is a friend from our Catholic Church. Yeppers, we are Catholic. We have a strong faith. We went to a different coffee place, not like when we go get coffee when out with our other friend Johnna, we go to Starbucks. Theresa thinks Starbucks is expensive and full of sugar. She may be right, but they’re coffee is great.
We were there having coffee and we got this great idea for a story. It was a about a disabled man running his own coffee house. He was basically based on us a little bit with a little fiction thrown in. If only I were to reveal what kind of mental health issues we have. We don’t have a title yet. We will soon enough. might name it after the coffee house or something else. Not sure what we name the story.
